Agroperfect Integrated Crop Programs Greenhouse Cucumber

Integrated Greenhouse Cucumber Program

A full-season program for protected cultivation - pairing stage-based nutrition with effective crop protection to support strong establishment, balanced growth, and high, continuous production of firm, high-quality fruit under harvest every three days.

The program

A protected-cultivation crop, built for high, continuous production and firm, high-quality fruit.

Agroperfect developed this integrated greenhouse cucumber program to support strong establishment, balanced growth, and high, continuous production with excellent fruit quality - combining stage-based nutrition with effective crop protection throughout the season.

The program is designed for greenhouse cucumber production under continuous harvesting every three days. Nutrition is timed to each growth stage, from establishment through vegetative growth, flowering, fruit set, and continuous production; protection runs alongside it, holding back the diseases and insects that most affect the crop and its fruit in the protected environment.

Two tracks, one calendar

How the program is built

Nutrition and crop protection run in parallel through the same growth stages - so feeding the crop and defending it are planned as one schedule, from establishment through continuous production.

Nutrition program

Establish strong, then sustain the harvest

Open the season with NPK and poly sulphate plus salinity management, VIGLAX, and chelated iron for strong establishment, then drive vegetative growth with high-phosphorus foliar nutrition, magnesium, and micronutrients. Position boron and calcium-potassium nutrition around flowering to secure fruit set, then carry a potassium-rich main feed - with boron and high-potassium amino-acid support - through continuous production to sustain quality under harvest every three days.

Crop protection program

Protect the protected environment

Start at the seed with treatment against soil-borne disease, then manage weeds inside the greenhouse as needed. Rotate insect control - CAREZEON, CYPERTOR, TARGET, and VERMACTIN every 7–10 days - against aphids, whiteflies, and mites that thrive under cover, and rotate disease control between MELDAX, POLOGOLD, and ORDES to stay ahead of downy and powdery mildew, with every application matched to greenhouse conditions to protect the canopy, the flowers, and final fruit quality.

Built for the harvest

Every stage points toward high, continuous production

A crop that establishes strong, stays balanced, and is well protected sets and fills full, clean, firm fruit - cycle after cycle. From the first true leaves onward, the program is tuned to convert crop vigor into high, continuous production and excellent fruit quality.

The season, stage by stage

Season roadmap

Each growth stage below shows both tracks together - what to feed the crop, and what to protect it from - so the whole season reads as one plan.

Nutrition Crop protection

01

Establishment

0–10 days

Set up strong roots and even establishment, manage salinity from the start, and protect the seed.

Nutrition
NPK + Poly Sulphate Balanced base nutrition with sulphur, magnesium, and calcium to drive root development and strong establishment.
SALINITYFIX Manages soil and water salinity early so young roots establish freely under protected conditions.
VIGLAX Supports early vigor and even, balanced establishment as seedlings take hold.
DEXROSIN 6% or AGROFERT 5% Iron Prevents early iron chlorosis and keeps emerging seedlings green and active.
Crop protection
Seed treatmentTESTRA Protects the seed and seedling against soil-borne disease and damping-off for even, healthy establishment.
Weeds, as neededGreenhouse weed control Applied as needed inside the greenhouse to remove competition and reduce pest and disease harbour.

02

Vegetative Growth

10–25 days

Build a strong vine and canopy with phosphorus, magnesium, and micronutrients, and open the insect window.

Nutrition
FOLIAFERT 10-52-10 + TE High-phosphorus foliar feed to drive root activity, energy transfer, and vigorous early growth.
AGROFERT 6 N + 10 Mg Supports leaf expansion, chlorophyll formation, and photosynthetic capacity during active growth.
AGROFERT Mn 5% + Zn 2% Corrects manganese and zinc demand to support enzyme activity and balanced vegetative development.
Crop protection
Insects · rotationCAREZEON · CYPERTOR Open the insect window as pressure builds, rotating actives every 7–10 days to manage aphids and chewing pests.

03

Pre-Flowering

25–35 days

Sustain the canopy and correct iron ahead of bloom, and open the disease-control rotation.

Nutrition
AGROFERT 6 N + 10 Mg Maintains nitrogen and magnesium supply to keep the canopy healthy and photosynthetically active.
Chelated Iron Keeps young growth green and corrects iron demand ahead of the flowering load.
Crop protection
Disease · rotationMELDAX · POLOGOLD Open the disease window ahead of flowering, rotating actives to protect against downy and powdery mildew.
Insects · rotationTARGET Manages whiteflies and sucking pests as populations begin to build before bloom.

04

Flowering & Fruit Set

The yield-defining window

Position boron and calcium-potassium nutrition for a strong set, and hold protection at its tightest.

Nutrition
AGROFERT Boron 10% Supports pollen viability, flower formation, and fruit set during the critical flowering window.
FOLIAFERT 11-5-19 + 9% CaO + 2% MgO + TE Potassium- and calcium-rich foliar feed to support flowering, cell-wall strength, and early fruit quality.
Crop protection
Disease · rotationPOLOGOLD · ORDES Maintained through bloom - the period when flowers and young fruit are most vulnerable to mildew.
Insects · rotationCYPERTOR · TARGET Continued on the 7–10 day rotation to protect flowers and newly set fruit.

05

Early Production

First harvests

Feed the setting fruit with potassium and calcium, sustain the canopy, and manage salinity as demand climbs.

Nutrition
FOLIAFERT 11-5-19 + 9% CaO + 2% MgO + TE Potassium- and calcium-rich nutrition to support fruit set, reduce disorders, and build early fruit quality.
AGROFERT 6 N + 10 Mg Sustains the canopy and feeds the developing fruit through the early production phase.
SALINITYFIX Maintains plant performance under salinity stress as the crop enters production.
Crop protection
Disease · rotationMELDAX · ORDES Continued on rotation to protect setting and early fruit from downy and powdery mildew.
Insects · rotationTARGET · VERMACTIN Manages whiteflies, leaf miners, and mites that scar fruit and weaken the crop.

06

Continuous Production

Harvest every 3 days

Run the main feed with boron and high-potassium support under continuous load, and rotate protection to harvest.

Nutrition
Main program FOLIAFERT 11-5-19 + CaO + MgO + TE · AGROFERT 6 N + 10 Mg · Iron · SALINITYFIX Sustained potassium, calcium, and magnesium nutrition with iron and salinity management to keep fruit setting, sizing, and holding quality through continuous harvest.
Additional support Boron · 3-0-27 + Amino Acids Boron keeps successive flowers setting, while high-potassium amino-acid feed powers peak fruiting, sustains firmness, and reduces fruit deformity under heavy load.
Crop protection
Disease · rotationMELDAX · POLOGOLD · ORDES Rotated through production to guard the dense canopy and maturing fruit against downy and powdery mildew.
Insects · rotationCAREZEON · CYPERTOR · TARGET · VERMACTIN Rotated every 7–10 days against aphids, whiteflies, and mites to keep harvested fruit clean and marketable.

Know the threats

Main pests & diseases this program targets

The protection track is built around the threats that most damage greenhouse cucumbers - here's what to watch for under cover, and which products manage each.

Fungal disease

Downy mildew

Pseudoperonospora cubensis

Angular yellow lesions bounded by leaf veins spread fast in the warm, humid greenhouse air - collapsing the canopy and cutting yield before fruit fills.

Managed with MELDAX · POLOGOLD

Fungal disease

Powdery mildew

Podosphaera xanthii

Dusty white growth coats leaves and stems, reducing photosynthesis, weakening the plant, and downgrading fruit size and quality.

Managed with ORDES · POLOGOLD

Soil-borne disease

Damping-off & seedling rot

Pythium · Rhizoctonia spp.

Soil-borne fungi rot seeds and collapse young seedlings at the soil line, thinning stands and forcing costly re-planting.

Managed with TESTRA seed treatment

Insect · sap feeder

Aphids

Aphis gossypii

Colonies suck sap from growing tips and leaf undersides, curling foliage, fouling fruit with honeydew, and spreading virus in the enclosed environment.

Managed with CAREZEON · CYPERTOR

Insect · sap feeder

Whiteflies

Bemisia tabaci

Clouds of tiny white flies thrive under cover - weakening plants, depositing sticky honeydew that grows sooty mould, and transmitting damaging viruses.

Managed with TARGET · CYPERTOR

Mite

Two-spotted spider mites

Tetranychus urticae

Stippling and fine webbing build fast in the warm, dry corners of the greenhouse, bronzing leaves, sapping vigor, and scarring fruit.

Managed with VERMACTIN
